Lynn Lapthorne is a poet and writer of children’s stories and alternative folklore. She grew up on a farm in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, where the clear mountain air still calls to her. She has drawn from her extensive imagination to write stories since her childhood.
Currently she resides in Lantz, Nova Scotia, with her husband. They have two grown sons. She runs an after-school dayhome business for children where she shares her love of writing, using imagination and building confidence in her young charges.
Lynn has had several poems published in newspapers and journals over the last few years. She is working towards publishing her first folklore story followed by a collection of her poetry. Lynn is the founding member of the East Hants Writers group.

Her first book, Never Again, contains a poem about her feelings about the pandemic. It was released in the summer of 2020.
