From their website: Hal-Con is committed to hosting year-round events as well as a 3-day celebration of geek and nerd culture while providing a safe environment to our community. We continue to strive toward becoming part of the landscape of Halifax and work toward being Canada’s best fan-run “comic con” style convention.
The conference is a mixture of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Steampunk and all things similar. With regard to the publishing world, authors have their own tables, give readings and host workshops.
Fantasy authors Tamora Pierce, Tim Hanley and Tanya Huff are three of the authors who will be there. For a full roster of authors, gamers, actors and comic artists, visit the Guest Page.
